Jon Moore
Jr Lead Carpenter
Alt Job Title: “The Track Star”
“I value that TDS is in touch with building science and that many years of experience and research are put into the materials we use. It feels good knowing the products we use and the processes we use to construct those materials, create better spaces for years to come—and they look great.”
Jon earned a bachelor’s degree and a commission as an officer in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, viewing education as a life-long pursuit that enriches both personal and professional growth. Through his military service, he gained valuable experience traveling both stateside and overseas, honing essential skills in teamwork, communication, and organization he’s utilized throughout his years in construction.
Jon’s wisdom is equally informed by his reflective nature, as he seeks to gain insights and means of improvement. He recognizes the value of mindfulness, both personally and in his peers and coworkers, and enjoys teaching others as much as being taught.
When he grants himself some free time, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and his dog, being in nature, traveling, trying new foods, and watching live music.
What do you do that gives you a sense of pride?
Knowing that, at the end of the day, I have made a contribution to improving spaces and people’s lives.
Based on the previous question, why do you like to do what you listed?
There are many careers out there where seeing hard work pay off is less noticeable. Here at TDS, it is very evident, and I am happy to be a part of it.
Favorite tool (power tool or otherwise)?
The cordless track saw. No doubt.
