About TDS Design Build

TDS Design Build is a residential design-build firm in Madison, Wisconsin. Led by career carpenter turned business owner Ben Blodgett, our team of designers and craftspeople design, develop, build and remodel homes throughout the greater Madison area. We’ve been doing this work for over 40 years, and we’re known for the quality of our craftsmanship, our defined process, and the way we treat our clients and team.

The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing & Sales Coordinator to keep our marketing, communications, and early-stage sales follow-through running smoothly. This is a part-time role with real impact—you’ll help us show up consistently to our clients and our team, and there’s room to grow with the company based on your contributions and fit. You’ll work closely with our owner, Ben, and the whole team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re open to a range of experience levels. What matters most is how you work, not just where you’ve been. We’re here to support your growth as you help grow the company.

  • Strong writing skills and an eye for clear communication
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with reliable follow-through
  • Systems thinking—you see how the pieces connect and look for ways to improve processes
  • Comfortable with digital tools: CRM systems, social media platforms, email marketing, and basic design tools
  • Able to follow a defined sales process and keep things moving without being asked
  • Good judgment and professionalism in client-facing communication
  • Curious, proactive, and genuinely interested in doing good work

What You’ll Do

  • Sales Coordination: Support our sales process through scheduling, lead tracking, preparation of client-facing documents, and CRM management. Follow up with prospective clients in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Marketing Execution: Maintain brand consistency across all channels. Manage social media content, email campaigns, and website updates. Coordinate photography and project documentation. Coordination with marketing agency.
  • Client Experience: Help ensure a smooth client experience from first contact through the entire project lifecycle. Own key touchpoints that keep communication clear and expectations aligned.
  • Internal Communications: Keep the team informed and aligned with project updates, marketing initiatives, and company news. Contributes to clarity, consistency, and follow-through that support both individual projects and the broader TDS team. Helps coordinate company events, milestones, and team-facing brand touchpoints.

Schedule & Compensation

  • 24–40 hours per week
  • In office hours with some work-from-home flexibility
  • Starting pay negotiable with experience
  • Defined career growth pathway

Nice to Have

  • Experience in marketing, sales coordination, or executive support
  • Familiarity with the residential construction or design-build industry

Why TDS

We’re a small company that takes its values seriously. Our team is collaborative, respectful, and genuinely invested in doing great work for our clients and each other. You’ll be joining a company with a strong reputation, a clear vision for its future, and an owner who’s committed to building the kind of workplace people are proud to be part of.

This role has flexibility built in. It may stay part-time or grow into something larger—that depends on you, the work, and where the company is headed.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a brief note about why this role interests you to careers@tdsdesignbuild.com. We’d rather hear what you’re good at in your own words than read a form cover letter.
